I'm in the process of trying to clean about 120 78s that were stored in less than optimal conditions. I've been using my VPI and Nitty Gritty 78 fluid but some of the gunk isn't going anywhere.

Myles - Already tried the toothbrush. There is one more thing to try which I saw years ago used on a very rare recording which was considered non-salvable, but I will not mention it until I attempt it and it (hopefully) works. Don't want to expose myself to too much ridicule.👍 1Comment
