Hate getting your fingers burned, have a hard time grasping those small signal tubes? Well Blue Point has your answer. Benefit of have a background in mechanics and being a collector. Lots of tools at my disposal.

I used to use a pair of gloves that one of the tube stores used to sell but they don't seem to be available anymore.

Personally, I would be careful anyway. Just not sure how those innards like being disturbed when hot.

Myles I use these more for grip than heat protection. My wacky sense of humor doesn't always come through in type. They do work great for hard to reach tubes.

These are actually spark plug boot pullers if anyone wants to know their original purpose.

Thanks and I did want to know. Tomorrow I will post a picture of a real tube puller that was in every TV repairman's tube caddy back in the days.

The Allnic phono stage comes with a tube puller.

Here is a picture of a GE tube puller. It could be used for two different sized tubes. You simply place it over the top of a hot tube and it snugly holds the tube as you pull up and remove it from the socket.

Thank you Mark, we should remember that most any electronic gear for 20 years likely had tubes in it. Not like today just in esoteric audio gear. This was a MUST have in the old days.

Electroharmonics made the exact same tube puller but the item is apparently either out of stock or discontinued. Now here's an idea for an income supplement. I always envied Steve McCormack and Joyce Flemming coming up with the tiptoe idea. They sold over 8 million of these items at what $7 each? Even if they only made $2-3 on each tiptoe, that was a tidy sum.
