Here's my coverage of SRA's Scuttle3 on The Audio Beat.

Thanks Tim, I love my Craz rack. I guess I should touch base with Tim to see if there's any updates that I can make to my rack. I didn't realize he was up to a Craz3 version. Mine was one of Kevin's early efforts.

I believe that - the Craz is a great rack and beautiful looking too! It's worth checking - if yours does not have the latest shelves, it chould be upgraded to those, and maybe other changes, such as the IsoPods/MLSS for your latest gear. Pretty sure Marc is getting the new shelves for his Craz.

Nice review Tim. You wrote the standard double-wide Scuttle3 costs $9.700, single-wide is $9.060. Are you sure this is correct? The price difference seems a little low to me.

Thank you, Marcus. I appreciate the careful reading. Those are the numbers I received. I kinda thought the same when I first saw them. Note that the single-wide (30") is more than half the width of the double (47.5"). I believe the three tier double-wide Scuttles are the majority made.

For good measure: Scuttle2 – three tiers for 6 components: $7400.

Yes I know JC. I did the first review of the Craz and Lars Fredell did the first review of an SRA product for my magazine 20 years ago. Craz came long before the Scuttle. But if you look, both products now bear the 3 version designation. My Craz would be 0.5. So obviously there were also changes to the Craz I too that I wasn't aware of and need to find out about.

I like Scuttle a lot and it's definitely on my short list for a future purchase. But I have a remark regarding one aesthetic detail and I hope someone from SRA will read this. This is such a beautiful looking (at east for me) and accomplished rack that SRA should do something about the 6 visible and ugly screws (or whatever that is) on each side. Maybe it's just me but they really spoil the appearance. From the side the rack looks unfinished.

I love my Scuttle2 but It would be a better product if Kevin could re-design it with adjustable shelves. Lots of empty space. You could easily fit another row of gear in there.
