Thanks, Andre. I just learned something new about this forum. I was only seeing comments 4,5 & 6 and didn't know that only a max of 3 was visible (requiring you to scroll). Wonder how many other things I've missed, lol.

      Thanks again!

Last night I got to play two tapes from jonathan H
stuff he recorded himself. It was the best realistic sound I ever heard on my setup. The tapes were picked from Myles best of the best list. I have to say his list is as said
and some. While I'm no great judge of how good a tape can be it seemed last night wound be tough to beat.
I love simple close up recordings the tapes I heard are as such yet catch the ambience of the club.
              A very special evening indeed.

                    Hello,

Nobody seems to talk about ''muddy waters - Folk singer'' from Ultra Tape.
Nobody has or the reel version is somewhat disappointing ?
This is indeed a great recording, and might be a really natural and involving record in reel copy...

                    Julien

PS : I have this in mono pressing Lp.

I have the UltraTape "Folk Singer" and all I can tell you is that it is a Knock Out! It's one of my go-to tapes when I want to demonstrate the superiority of reel-reel over any other format for those who have never experienced it before. I highly recommend this tape to be on your short list- obviously for the music, but for the quality of the transfer. I consider it one of my best!
