I'm truly enjoying tape and vinyl very much. Digital is also very good but I have to say analog has something to it I can't explain.
I just bought two more copies of school days
new sealed. One is a 180 gram version.
tape has such a density and power to it. I can't explain it
          analog stuff.

All Pink Floyd's albums were in my time. I went to a few concerts way back when. Quality wise I think wish you here is best.
mother on the wall is also very well done.
I just bought a few dark sides to get the famed 30 year and A3/B3.

Since you are new to RTR, you should know that most of the "white-box, no brand" prerecorded tapes of popular albums are fakes. Either they are not directly sourced from the original Master tape at all (as in sourced from CD, vinyl or hi-res digital) OR they are sourced from the Master tape, but numerous copy generations away from the Master. Like a 6th generation copy or more. Legit RTR music tapes are (and should be) 2nd generation copies or first generation copies of the Master. Otherwise you are not hearing the true potential of the RTR format.

I do agree that many times the pedigree of reels is unknown, especially if one does not know the seller or trading partner well.

Having said that, there is no way that you know that these "white box" tapes aren't only a generation or 2 away from a safety master. For all we know Al has a "friend in the business" who is kind enough to make him copies.

I have many reels in my collection and I am pretty sure of the pedigree of 80% of them. The rest are likely from a less perfect gene pool.
