      • Here are the 2 machines bequeathed too me by my friend Stewart Emmings - a Studer A820 1/2 inch, which belonged to Simon Heyworth (Manor Studios for Virgin Records and now has his own studio) and an Otari MTR12 (ex Dave Stewart form the Eurythmics at Church Studios, London). My other 3 machines (2x Sony APR 5000 and Studer A807/II) now live upstairs in my study - the A820 and MTR12 are far too heavy for me to carry up a set of stairs!

Main system - A820; MTR12; Dolby 363 with SR/A cards; Platine Verdier with Schroeder Reference Allaerts MC1B & Hadcock 228 Decca FFSS MkIV C4E; TRON Seven Reference phono; TRON Meteor preamp; TRON Voyager 6W SET; Avantgarde Duo 2.2

        Studer A820

I have a re-built ATR 102 coming in later this month. The work is being done by Dan Labrie at ATR Service in York, PA. They are backed up about six months.

              Very excited.

              Doshi Tape stage too!

                  • those pro tape machines sure look sweet in those rolling racks, My listening room wouldn't have the space for even if I could afford the deck and tapes to play on it.

                        It is an ATR-102
I separated the reel motors from the main chassis.
                        It is my design

                    • With carts, horizontal machines take a lot of real estate! I leave my recording ATR-102 behind my listening couch and only roll it to the front when I am doing dubs. I have to navigate through the room to fit between the machines. Won't be in Architectural Digest! Of course my reels have spread to other rooms.
