              No joke. Just a person with too much money and little sense. Seller didn't even offer any warranty (he stated "no returns").

              Or it could be some sort of fraud scheme where a friend of the seller bids insane amounts hoping to suck in some idiot into the contrived frenzy.

                      So true. Is somebody going to set that out on display or actually use it? Crazy. Maybe one of these days my Nakamichi tape deck will be worth over $5k.
