here is my King-Cello. left picture is the audio circuit, right is the power supply. my KC is modified with a 50 ohm BNC zeel interface which allows it to ideally connect with my darTZeel preamp with 11.5 meter interconnects. I use it for both of my Studer A-820 decks. I have also used it from time to time quite effectively as a phono stage.
I have found that loading both chassis with Walker lead-filled pucks helps as the chassis is quite resonant. also the audio circuit is sitting on Wave Kinetics A10 U8 footers, the power supply is sitting on cones which are through the carpet into the concrete beneath.
as the KC sits about 7 feet from my 750 pound MM7 bass tower, resonant treatments are required to prevent it singing along with the music.2 Photossystem description and pictures.

Here's the other case configuration - called the "Cello Box" as this is similar to their smaller product cases.

Hello everyone.
I'm new to this forum. I'm a reel tape collector in China.
Really happy that I can join in this forum.
Recently I have a plan to upgrade my Studer A80's electronics.
I spent several days searching informations about tape preamps. But I can't found any official information about King/Cello.
I'v sent a message to stellavox in WBF forum.
After that I found this thread.
Please allow me to list my questions about King/Cello here
1. Is there an official website for King/Cello?
2. Where can I place my order if I would like to purchase one?
3. How long will I wait after ordered?
4. The price of King/Cello
Really appreciate if someone could help.Comment

Not sure on the build time but it's not crazy long. Some will have to do with what options you select eg. capacitors, no caps and connectors. I really do suggest going with the Furutech connectors, both RCA and IEC.
The price was around $4000 but that may not be current.
And glad to have another tapehead aboard!!!

You can reach Charlie at [email protected]. I can pass your note onto him also! He's away and I think just returning from vacation later this week so might take a little time to return your message.

There had been a tape trend in main land China during the past several years.
More and more people here realize the power of tape, however resources are poor here.
We just lack of everything, hardware, software, information and technology.
Thank god we have internet.
In China, reel tape machine only can be used in top broadcast station in the past.
Nowadays it's a new world for those who seeking the best sound here.Comment

China is moving forward fast.
New things come out very quick.
Most teenagers here grab their cell phone all the time. They enjoy the music with it because you can have new songs as quick as possible.
I was born in the 80's. I grow up with my walkman and cassette.
I still remember the first time I listen mp3 through a Rio800. I was shocked and after that I stepped on an endless road.👍 1Comment
