    EternalArts tape stage

    Has anyone tried the EternalArts tape stage?

    Any thoughts? Cool thing is it has VU meters like the doshi.

          Interesting footprint. Was not able to determine if the tape stage can support NAB & IEC. Here are some additional photos.

              Switch mode power supply,mainly solid state electronics with cathode follower tube circuitry on the output.

              I pooh-poohed this until I remembered my slowly dying but much loved Audio Aero SACD player uses something similar.

                  There is no equalization setting on the tape stage. Confirmed the tape stage is to be used as a matching amplifier for adjusting the different levels of balanced and unbalanced sources.

                        No EQ. Was informed you use the EQ of the tape machine.

                        Can I just add the Eternal arts hve a very good reputation for their OTL Amps here in the german speaking part of the World. There is hardly anyone using Reel to Reel over here so you will have to make your own mind up about the merits of this offering from EA

                            that device is intended for signal indication and adjustment mainly during recording, in case if R2R does not have embedded UV meters.
