    The "original" SDS converts the sine wave coming out of the wall to a hybrid square wave to drive the table's motor. In addition, you can also get a small improvement by lowering the preset operating voltage, presumably again by lowering the noise floor.

    What the new version of the SDS will do remains to be seen.

    Yes that's been the rumor. I suspect Mike Bettinger has had a bit of input into the new design too.

    It would be interesting to see the same measurement done on the separate motor tables or the direct drive.
