  • Van Den Hul Grasshopper questions

    Does anyone know the recommended tracking force and loading for an original VdH Grasshopper (first generation)? I've had mine rebuilt by Soundsmith and I'd like to be able to set it up properly but don't have the original documentation.
    Analog: Holbo Turntable, VdH Crimson Strad XGW; Forsell Air Reference, Transfiguration Proteus; Rega RP-8, VAS Nova Mono
    Digital: Mac mini 6,2 with YFS PS-12M LPS; Exogal Comet Plus, Exogal Ion PowerDAC

      I agree with JC, you should check with Soundsmith first to see if they rebuilt it to original specifications or if they modified/changed the suspension/compliance, tracking, etc.
