Anyone hear a Kuzma Car cartridge?

    Anyone hear a Kuzma Car cartridge?

    I'm thinking about a Car 40 or possibly Car 50 for my Stabi M/4 point. Anyone have any experience with them? Not much info out there in internet land. Thanks!

    I wonder if, given your investment in Kuzma, Scot could arrange for a dealer to let you borrow a "loaner cartridge" to try....

    I heard it at Windsor hifi show and then they switched to Art 9 on kuzma tonearm and latter sounded better

      Well considering the price that certainly says something for the quality of the Art 9. I'd consider one if I wasn't vehemently opposed to cartridges without threaded holes!

    There is also a CAR-60, which looks like it might be a CAR-50 with a diamond cantilever. I'm itching to try the 50 or 60, but too much on my plate for now.

      Forget CAR 40. Your turntable/tonearm comobo deserves better. Go for CAR 50 or CAR 60 if you can. I heard both. CAR 50 is an excellent choice but I slightly prefer Benz LPS. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind when it comes to CAR 60 though. It's on a different level, only the price is high.

        Thanks Marcus. CAR 60 is off the table for now, but I am going to try to get a demo of the 50.

      I'm curious for anyone who has actually heard them, do they have the zyx house sound also or are they unique animals?

        The older Kuzma cartridges were made by ZYX but I don't think the new ones are.

        that's what I thought, kuzma and zyx parted ways a while ago.

      I heard it at Kuzma's place. Did not compare to the zyx so can't be accurate but did not strike me as the Zyx 4d, universe 1, 2 and premium which I have heard. But without comparing in same system hard to tell tbh

        Kuzma CAR cartridges are not ZYX, so there's nothing to compare.
