A really nice classic combination shows this Micro Seiki RX 1500G with golden feet. Fidelity Research FR 64 S tonearm from the 80s.

Audiospecials AS Phonolab phonostage connected with an Accuphase AC Cartridge. A well balanced Set up that never goes out of fashion.

    Show us your favourite combinations!

I used to have a similar RX1500 and FR64S. It is a classic combo! Still have the FR64S but I sold the RX1500 when offered a good price...should have kept it. But I also should have kept that 66 Alfa. Oh well

Certainly one of the best among other classic combos. The Micro RX 1500- AS Phonolab combo I would title: Classic meets modern analog.

A nice Garrard 401 on the left. But what type is the other turntable? Do not see any brand. Anyone knows?

Platine Verdier La Nouvelle. Are you the manufacturer for AS?

      • #6
Platine Verdier. Thanks. More pics of attractive TT-Phonostage would be nice. This should be a gallery for Vinylists who appreciate the synergy of a well turntable-phonostage combination. Both in terms of Design and sound.

A nice combination of Dr. Feickert Analogue Payer "Blackbird" with Vintage-Tonearm JVC UA-7045 and the AS Phonolab. Audiotechnica´s AT-33Sa fits well in sound.

Club Member Hartwig sent me this cinemascope pic of his new TT-Phonostage combination. Two times Sony PS-X9 and his new Audiospecials Phonolab 1.0. Not bad I think. His Aesthetix was replaced by the AS.

while i agree that pictures of turntables and phono stages are sexy, phono stages have everything to do with particular cartridges, SUT's and maybe phono cables.......but........the turntable or arm are not really relevant other than aesthetically......or maybe price point.

there is mechanical, and signal path.

that said, in the spirit of the thread, i do like my CS Port LFT1 and Saskia model two, along with the CS Port phono......plus a pair of EMIA SUT's. the CS Port phono has a MC input and a pair of MM inputs; so accepts 2 SUT's. i can have both SUT's and another spare phono channel. the CS Port is not cheap, but at $17k retail list price does not break the bank either.........considering it (1) performs at the highest level, (2) allows for system growth, (3) is battery powered, and (4) is a beautiful 'zen' type piece with impeccable solid build quality.
