Its the sound, not the looks, that makes a Garrard magic ;-)
Its clarity, pace and rytm and dynamics that makes a Garrard shine, and it is based on the high torque drive, which has to be harnished and civilized to perform at its best, like tuning an instrument and a heavy plint to accommodate the monster motor.
It will last a lifetime if keept up to standard with a regular service and maintainence , I have had mine for over 20 years now ( its the ugly table in the pictures I uploaded )
I have had many good tables pass my way, but none could take out the Garrard yet, maybe a Kronos table could do it ?
