So, its a platter/motor transplant form one plinth to the other? now you can mount two arms (or three?) i'm sure that weighed heavily in the Vanquish's favor. Congrats!

Yes, but would need the T-tool no matter what to install the direct drive. The platter and motor come as one assembly and all one need to do is hook up the electrical strap between the motor the on/off switch box on the side. Taking care not to trap the flat strap between the plinth and motor. That really makes it for safeties sake, a two person job. Though I imagine, if you do it enough times, one person could install the motor/platter assembly. Thought the motor felt heavier, though, the first time around. Or I've gotten stronger.

The Vanquish will accommodate three arms ergo why I obtained it. It is the perfect tool for a reviewer. I will be adding a second arm shortly so will have the ability to more easily review and compare and contrast two cartridges at once. While the detachable wand assembly does makes reviewing cartridges easier, you still have to remember and finagle with arm height each time you transfer arm wands. Here, set it up and forget about it. Only thing won't have the ability to do is switch between arms on the fly as the Doshi will only accommodate one balanced input. I could obviously run one balanced and one single ended but that would defeat the purpose. So will have to switch cables. But I can warm the two cartridges up together!

Yes. I am not prepared to say yet. The A95--that is very sensitive to SRA--still needs dialing in and there may be one other thing need to adjust today.

Getting closer on dialing in the SRA. Zeroing in on the harmonics and dimensionality, not as thin sounding. The Artistry of Charlie Byrd turns out to be a good test for SRA just as the old Wilson Audio Razzmatazz or the ancient Heliotrope on Nonesuch.

This is one of Harry Weisfeld's prototype tables. VPI hasn't decided whether to put it into production. I got to use one for three days in my room at the Capital Audio Fest and was tremendously impressed. It's fairly simple to set up and can accommodate 3 tonearms. The cost of production could be a limiting factor in the decision about whether to manufacture this baby.
