Too bad it gets marked up so much here in the US. It's available for about 40-50% less in the UK from dealers and that has their 40 points on it. At 7K I might have to get one, but I'm not paying 15K for a 7.5K here in the US.

Holy crapola! That's a huge disparity. How can this be justified?

Distributor markup and I'd guess import duties. Many of the other brands Rutherford Audio distributes have a similar price difference. For example, the SMARTractor, $650 in the US but I can purchase it for $400 from the UK. I'm sure the whole Brexit and current conversion rates help a bit as well but still a pretty good margin bump. Now I understand why my Soundsmith Zephyr which is basically a B&O SMMC3 ($300 retail) plugged into a Corian body sells for $1K. Just more examples of the fleecing of the Audiophile wallet. It really makes one feel like an idiot when you figure these things out, and had changed my whole thought process on the items I purchase.

I suppose it works the other way around as well with other product.
