    Anyone have this issue with Tidal HiFi?

    Everything seems okay, then suddenly it acts like it is paused, but won't restart. It spins like it is connecting but never does. Have to close Tidal and leave it off for several minutes to make it work again, Never had it happen before.

    Note - this is my personal notebook, not my music server, and it is plugged directly into the USB input of the Emotiva TA-100 integrated amp. It is not a wireless issue, as I have both strong signal, and the same speed as on all my other PCs that are running right now.

    I've only had Tidal for a couple months, but have never had this happen before, five or six times tonight already.

    I've had problems with Tidal since the last Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade... All of these programmers need to DIE! Everything worked fine before. I'm also having big problems with JRMC. This is why I love Lumin.

      Now that you mention it, I have a few dropouts on the server with JRMC that hadn't happened before. Really, LPs are so much easier!

        Yes sometimes I have connectivity issues the origin of which I can't identify. While listening Tidal will just cut out for about 5-10 secs and then cut back in. I installed a pair of TP Links to boost my signal, oh yes using wifi with my Bluesound player. I spoke to Bluesound at the La show and they didn't like my TP Links and suggested a hard wire connection but that isn't going to happen until we paint our place in a couple of years. ITMT the TP Links have improved the signal.

          My music server is a wired LAN connection. The laptop I was using last night for Tidal was on WiFi but getting a very strong signal. For what it's worth, I had a TP Link Wifi extender and returned it. Never got it to work well enough. I now have an Asus RT-N53 extender/router to boost WiFi throughout the house, and it works really well.

            Thanks for that info Steve. Actually I just received a new modem from my cable provider which is much bigger and heavier than my current one. They claim the new one should be much more powerful so I have to see how it works once installed tomorrow. I'll follow up. I found that two TP Links work fairly well BTW. One wasn't enough and the outlets position used in my apartment are an important factor.

              Yep and it has nothing to do with you're nas or a pc or your Dac. Right now I stream from my streamer no pc or nas and I get these "stutters". Of course it only last seconds and then everything Is fine. I've sent two trouble reports to Tidal an no response. Tired another streamer. Same thing it's so intermittent and it's not album or song dependent as I can replay the same song and no problem. I tired different routers, different brands same weird problem. I had thought it could be my internet provider but that's going to be hard to prove unless you hook an analyzer and prove something is a miss to them. So weird and such a pain in the ass, digital always something freaky. Maybe this is a different deal than you have Steve.

                Your description sounds like mine. I agree. I think it's really a Tidal problem although I can't be absolutely sure in the end.

                  My case wasn't a stutter. It completely stopped. Clicking to start playing again didn't work. Closing and reopening tidal didn't work. Had to either close Tidal and wait several minutes, or reboot the notebook. I wonder if it had anything to do with the update from Tidal it installed when i booted that notebook yesterday. I hadn't used it in about a month.

                    Are you using the browser version of Tidal, or the PC application?

                    Last week I was experiencing a different issue with the Tidal. Between tracks the volume would mute. There was an update for the PC application late last week that appeared to correct it. I have been using Tidal on my Windows machine for the past 2-Days for multiple hours each day with no interruption. I'm also streaming via wifi. Noissues today as well, but I'm only streaming for 15 minutes.

                      The PC Application. it never happened until after the update, but it only happens on one of the three notebooks I run Tidal on. It doesn't happen on either my music server or my office laptop, only my personal notebook that I have at home. All three are on Win10.

                        Don't rule out those exciting Windows updates, if you use windows , if you do maybe check your windows updates around the time you first noticed the problem. Just a thought

                        The only Windows machine I have run the Tidal application has been on Windows 7 Professional. I second ccp's comment. Also put a support ticket into Tidal if you have not done so already.
