    Anybody played with the Lumin?

I know a few have heard the Lampi and liked the DAC.

Still spinning CD's in a Metronome Calypso trough a tubed Metronome C2A DAC. Considering a Lampizator GG, but still too frightened by server choices and variety ...
My opinions rely on listening mainly to acoustical, non amplified music. I do not care about electronic music or listening to rock at stadium levels, but I enjoy Mahler and Shostakovitch.

I always liked the Metronome digital gear ever since reviewed an early one of their dacs. I always reckoned the tubes helped its sound. First Metronome had a real issue. If you unplugged the digital cable while it was on, it would blow the dac out. They fixed that one quickly.

As we've talked about, a highly underrated piece. If I were into just RBCD, I would definitely hunt down a Pacific Microsonics HDCD DAC 2.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has any experience with PM HDCD 2 vs. 1. Spec's aside - how different do they sound being used as a DAC?

Sinology seems to be a favorite for many now. What makes it your choice?

I've never used a PM2 as a source. When I used it, my source was a Pyramix MassCore system.

Used to run a 2009 MacBook Pro with Audrvana, Pure Music and Amarra (always looking for the holy grail!) but I switched to the Bryston BDP-2 > Bricasti M1 dac. I think the Bryston sounds much better. Maybe a more modern Mac would be its equal but for now this is it. Upgrading the sound card to the new Bryston IAD (integrated audio device)

Yes, I know a few of you guys down Philly way are high on the Bricasti DAC.
