just got my head dac back from Poland.
The new dac plays pcm and dsd 256 via ladder
no switching
also dsd 512 Ina separate input selection

new dual super clocks
by pass switch for driver tubes
aes input dsd 256 or pcm
spidif same
USB both dsd 512 and ladder
sws in the rear to disable the output transformers for headphone jacks for both low and high imp phones
a preamp unlit as well. All SE

souud is amazing to me through my server.
I can upsample pcm or dsd to 512 on the fly
for me dsd upsample has no value and makes things too smooth
pcm has been a wow for me. Ill

Lolmgood one. Tubes do add magic in this dac and the rolling makes it perfect for all occasions

I got you. Playing master version tidal on the head dac on my hd800 wownthis sure is good. The new mix shines. So much more details to hear.

I know I have been not posting on this thread of late. Been very busy playing but not critical listening much. Just doing mostly what we all should be doing enjoying the music.
Cary or dr ears loaned me a boat load of drivers for this unit. Both dual and single sided drivers. He has said the singles are cleaner than duals.
I feel he is right. I for one don't care if I have to use adaptors the improvement is there and it's big. The best driver I had to date was a vt99 with an adaptor to make it a 6sn7. His tubes bring a whole new level of clarity while some are warmer and one is boomy on the low end
what they bring is Ear opening. I am hearing deeper into the music
also since it's clean I can play loud and not be annoyed at peaks.

All of the above are single sided drivers. You need two to make a single dual.
One is a dual Japan 6sn7-GTB.
I must admit every one of the above tubes are better than mine
and forget the rest of the duals drivers I have that I never liked.
The testing was done on my speaker rig playing a variety of tracks both low and loud
the recti and output tubes were Kron
