  • Mother of all Vintage Audio Auction going on now in Korea

Here's a chance for you to get something you have always dreamed of:

미술품 경매를 통해 많은 사람들과 일상 속 예술의 경험과 기쁨을 나누고자 합니다.

These are just a tip of the iceberg from ~$10M collection. More details later.

Some of the items are replicas. I have a phonostage based on the Marantz 7 circuit from a Korean maker that recreates faithful replicas of W.E and vintage EMT gear, his gear looks like some of whats up for auction.

These auction lots seem to be oriented towards reseller/dealers. Who needs a lot of 5 turntables?

That Cello gear ought to go real fast. Mark is a God over there! Some other wild stuff too!

You mean high, not fast. These are 7 day absolute auctions with no buy it now. Right now the 11 pc lot of Cello gear has a 14K dollar bid. Damn good deal if it holds up.

The previous owner of all these stuff is in jail serving 7 year sentence. He was a chairman of a savings bank. He defrauded depositors' money and spent it as if it was his own. Fancy cars and warehouse full of audio gear are some of the examples. The government confiscated the all of these stuff and trying to auction the items off to pay restitution to the victims. What is list is a very small portion of what they found in the warehouse.

You should try the "catalog" for more.

What I meant is that there will be no problem selling the Cello gear in Asia.

                    worse, IMO.
At least Bernie was selective and took investment money from the greedy rich people but this guy stole money from small guys and grandmas who thought they were depositing their money into a bank for safekeeping...

I am sure I made the situation sound too simple. The guy was crafty in packing the deposits into a type investment that common people didn't really understand. At the end it was clear fraud. I believe there is a bank regulating body in Korea but if there's a will, a crook can find a way to steal I believe.
