....you have just spent a 1000$ on a cable and you get a feeling that a further Upgrade would give you more of what you are looking for....

along similar lines, you just bought a 2 LP 45 rpm set of a single album, and now you feel only a 4 LP single sided 45 rpm version will do.

          I saw these around the net, some are pretty truthful ;

You might be an audiophile if your speaker cables are thicker than your garden hose.

You have a secret bank account that your significant other doesn’t know about.”

You have a room filled with all the empty boxes that came with your audio equipment just in case you have to sell.

When you can't remember your first girlfriend but you can rattle off every component from your first 1974 system.

You get tossed out of live concert for running on stage and toeing in the musicians

“You just got a pair of speakers you can barely move yourself”

You roll your eyes when one of your friends starts telling you how great his Bose system sounds.

You find yourself admiring the Hubbell receptacles whenever you visit a hospital.

            • You're subscribed to at least three audio related message boards at the same time. (if the that number exceeds 10 you really should seek psychiatric counseling)
            • Your saved ebay searches are dominated by music and audio gear alerts
            • Ditto, saved alerts on hifishark.com (early bird gets the worm)
            • Your discogs notification 'wantlist' spans several pages
there's more, depends on how twisted you want others to see you as

You obsess about a light scratch line or scuff mark on a record - background/surface noise is the enemy!

True. When the wife says we need to get a CD and you launch into an anti-digital diatribe. She let's you finish your rant and then calmly says I was referring to a bank CD (certificate of deposit).

When you love listening in the dark admiring the glow of the amplifier's output tubes.

When you keep a timer next to your turntable to keep track of the number of hours on your cartridge or next to your amplifier to keep track of the number of hours on your tubes (unless you own ARC equipment! ).

When the warmest room in the house is the audio room, not the kitchen.
