.... and have it drive you to distraction? This evening in the kitchen six notes just popped into my head and for the life of me I couldn't remember what they came from. It was kind of disquieting. I turned everything off and sat in silence obsessively racking my brains out.
After about two hours I finally placed it, Pat Methanys and Lyle Mays "As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls", those bell like six notes towards the conclusion of the title piece. I hadn't listened to it in years and it wasn't remotely anywhere on my radar. I had even forgotten that I owned it, IIRC I bought the LP in 1983 or so.
