  • Two channel movie sound

While I await my setup of a 7.1 surround setup I am currently using my infinity IRS V. Am I pig for using such Nearly antique speakers for this purpose.
Many years ago I always used them for this even used them as the front two channels.
I recently watched the new bond movie that I highly reccomend for its audio qulity as much as its overall entertainment . All I can say is the opening seen that each bond movie that initial seems to top the last , this one is that cut above two. My be its the audio not sure . But the seens audio of the band In Mexicos walking dead seen is just way cool. Although my soon to be real surround in some ways tops them mostly because it's not music it's just loud thumping sounds. But for now the soundstage and musicality of the movie is amazing. Anyone who can try there own mAin two channel setup I say try it. The room shakes as the drums hit hard and then comes explosions , I did get scared I would blow something but it's fine lol. There is some kind of CHINESE drums ona ultra audio cd that too is live and man are you there . Movies mostly sound good but the audio of blockbusters surly gets me to ultra HighEndAudio qulity how I wish all of our music was done so well.

It's been said that the most technically adept recording and mix engineers end up in Hollywood or New York for the simple reason that movie studios can afford to pay more than a record label can. Since the number of blockbuster films a year is small, it is highly competitive so there's that vetting process too.

Which Bond flick Al? I remember years ago seeing that plane crash into the radar tower in Moonraker (?) and that was a sonic blockbuster. Also remember Fifth Element being pretty good soundtrack.Have you tried the original Jurassic Park? I saw that back in 2000 at David Wilson's home and when the dinosaurs walked, the room shook.
