  • The Italian High End Road Show

Did this trip just before Xmas, and just finished write-up - it focuses on:
    1. Gian’s extreme systems
    2. TAD Reference with Pass XA and Boulder 2160
    3. Comparisons of Tenor 75 OTL with Spectral 240 and Airtight 211 on Lansche Audio and Magico Mini
    4. Kronos Sparta with a 2k Shelter cartridge vs 85k worth of Metronome CD player and Kalista dac
    5. Martin Logan CLX with Constellation
    6. Ch Precision stack with Montagna
    7. Bergmann Sindre with Lyra Atlas and Clearaudio Goldfinger Statement, and compared with a Studer
    8. Wilson Alexandria with Viva SET amps and Grand Slamm X1 with Mark Levinson
    9. Basis Audio Work of Art, a 200k USD Turntable
    10. Back to Yamamuras
    11. Back to one of my favorite WE rooms.

Well there is much more, like Duntech Sovereign, Wilson Sabrina, Goldinote Systems for small rooms, and Metronome streamer, but let’s start. If you get bored, jump to conclusions and learnings.

Ha! Nice write-ups alright while its hard to put the question which is the "best" out of ones mind I'd say it becomes more of which flavour one prefers

So difficult when presented with such a tempting Smorgasbord !!

Incidentally I heard a full Yamamura setup at a Penta show in the mid 90's--must be a few pairs in the UK.

Thank you for the trouble to post--exciting travels!

The Yamamura changea. This was the last version made, Yamamura stayed at his place for a couple of months to complete it, the upper frequencies were also made higher than other models

A lot of nice and interesting stuff to read about Bonzo!
The Goldnote speakers in your picture are called XS-85 and are very nice indeed.
But I think you missed a zero in the price. They cost about 27000 euros so it is not such a low budget after all.

Interesting, I asked him that twice, so stunned was I by the price. I think he got confused with the English. Will have to update that part and take off the recommendation then

Since I know the Goldnote distributor in Sweden it was easy to check! In Sweden the price is 278 000 sek (about 28 000 euros).
