Its more like "to the best of your knowledge how many products do you own that you believe have at least 25% of its component parts sourced from the US and at the very least assembled here?" or something like that.

Gary can answer conclusively with regards to my speakers, but I'd say yes.
I'm pretty sure my Oracle table is built in Canada.

Your speakers are completely designed and assembled in the US. Cabinets were made in China, the servo-amp module is Dutch, crossover is almost completely US (capacitors, inductors and PCB).

Thanks for the response Gary! About the cabinets, are they finished (paint) there as well?

Yes - I still haven't managed to get cabinets painted in the US to the same (or better) quality.

The SAT is still in its very large box I will have it set up while Leif and Damon are here to set up the Ultra 11s. That will be in a couple of months. Right now I'm using the VR-44s a client who traded them in for the VR-11s. I'll surely do my best given I will have two different carts on the two arms.
Fortunately since TD and SAT have an alliance in Japan, Marc provided an SAT armboard for the AF1.

Living in a tiny country with an economy very open to international trade makes me totally country agnostic when it comes to acquiring gear.

I got components from the following countries: USA, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Germany, UK, Denmark, Sweden, France, Poland, Netherlands and Switzerland.

The US get their fair share: Krell (Amps and preamp), BelCanto (USB interface), Nordost (cables), Wireworld (cables), Stealth (cables), HRS (decouplers), Symposium (platform), Stillpoints (isolation feet), VPI and KLAudio (RCM).

Once I wanted to acquire something made in my country but the manufacturer did not show any interest and never reverted to me. I got a Japanese cartridge instead.

Hmm, I only have the one: Magico speakers. My electronics are European and my analog rig is mostly from Canada, w the cart also coming Europe. I have a mish mosh of cables, but if I included those, I'd be up to a big 2!

Unfortunately not enough, now that you've made me think of it. System one has a Merrill Williams turntable with Triplanar arm that's all USA made, otherwise it's Kuzma M table(Slovenia), JM Reynaud speakers (France), Blue Circle amps (Canada), and Crimson cables (U.K.). System two is all Audio Note. System three is Crimson amps and Tocaro speakers (Germany).

How do you define where cables are made when the materials and various stages of contruction may come from (or take place in) several different countries?

I am only going by when it comes to cables by where the manufacturer is based. It's hard to know all the other variables.
