We had our usual Tuesday night listening session, only six of us this week but EXCELLENT sound due to a lopsided session with original Contemporary LPs of Andre Previn, including “Pal Joey“ and “King Size,” followed by Barney Kessel’s “Carmen” and “Some Like It Hot.”

These old pressings are so natural and filled with power and detail many modern 45 RPM pressings cannot connect musically in the same way.

Sitting in my well broken in easy chair listening to some Emmylou Harris' Luxury Liner, Le Fluor Dominica cigar and a bit of McCallan 18 at hand.

There is something special about those old Contemporary recordings. Among my favorites. I Like Ike by Previn is pretty good too. Then you have the Art Farmer masterpiece.

        Of course a later pressing.

That's absolutely true . I wish there was more time but once I accept the responsibility I have to make best effort to not leave out any room or display. Those that attend know how much there is, very difficult too see it all and nearly impossible to see and photograph :-)).

The only shows I ever attended where I had time to do a perfect job and have fun was Montreal. Looks like support for it has dwindled and that's a pity. A BEAUTIFUL city and great people there. Had fun and always found software playing that's never spun at US events.

I don't know how you photograph everything at RMAF. I don't even get to hear everything. You must have the fastest trigger finger in Texas!

I do most of my listening during the day and pretty much close up shop (so to speak) by around 4-5PM. You won't find me online either after that time (usually).

That's great. We should have dinner like we usually do. I know Sonny and I enjoy our annual get-togethers!
