  • GamuT RS5i in for review

I got a call today from Fedex Freight that I had a 452 lb package to be delivered.....The new GamuT RS5i is in the house. 300+ hour break in so no comments for a bit on sound quality. They came in two crates each with their own wheels!

Lucky I had my Son home from college to help unload.

Looking forward to your comments. I've heard the 3s and 7s. Found them to be quite good.

I had the original L3's many years ago when Gamut first got into the speaker game. Very dynamic speaker and the tweeter could be a bit over bearing. Matched up with tube gear, I enjoyed them very much. Anxious to hear what you thoughts are. They would fit nicely in my living room.

Those crates have a higher WAF than my first pair of Green Mountain Audio speakers.

What is the net weight per speaker?

They are just over 100 lbs out of the crate. Shipping weight for them was 452 lbs between the crates and the two pallets they were strapped on.

Have you or anyone heard the M5. I am considering a pair. I have Pure Audio Project Trio 10, and Sonus Faber Luito floor standers. I am looking for more resolution, while still retaining warmth, dynamics, a large sound and soundstage. Something to listen to for hours without fatigue. They sit in my living room and play a lot. Thanks

I have not heard the M5. The RS5i is very resolving. Almost physically visceral.

They were excellent! I had to send them on. I had them for 5 months during review but it was sad to see them go.
