IRS v new cross over

Well as the cross over I have seems to be fading
I have ordered one from Paul s engineer at ps audio.
Being Paul is arnies friend I felt I am in great hands

That xover makes a huge difference. Sid had the xover for his RS1bs redesigned years ago by a fellow who worked at TI named Mike Tsecouras. Mike is now the CEO and chief technical officer for Audio Research!

Are they making anything to allow for fine adjustments between the midrange panels and woofer towers? One other option is to find that value and then have it replaced by a resistor so you don't have to deal with the degradation caused by a pot.

It can be added if I wish. For now it bypasses the entire i adds and leaves it in place.
I had a few options to pick from
Pass labs has one. Very nice people two people have them in use you know Myles Gary has it.
The other man has a set and was willing to show me his settings as the amount of variables is staggering and not for me.
Second is something I own is a set of deqx there top model I use it with a pair of modded 1B s. Again nice stuff but for the IRS I figured I ask Paul who has Armis as a friend. I aka I contracted a few people and many kind posters ona few forums gave there input. It is as usael different views each claiming the best kind of setup is there's lol. In the end I did as Paul did who admitted he too was a bit lasey. The caps are mundorf not sure what the bypass is. The price was extremely fair even cheap for what it is. Just the aggravation in cap value matching made me not want to do it. According to Paul here were a few values he tried some made the 30 year old mids rattle lol. If I can figure out how to I'll post some pics from my room now and as it goes.
The tv is going away for now when the new cross over arrives. I want to get the imaging correct first then place the tv back and see what happens. A projection tv may be in my future. So when just Paknia two channel the screen will be up. The room will be a combo of two and 7.1 but the fronts will not be the IRS v.
The kitchen doorway will have to be closed with by folds as this is also affecting the off set imaging. I confirmed it by places a pc of plywood in front and things improved.
The 65 magnolia Plasma also is playing with imaging too.
The room is fine in its sound for now. Gary from genesis gave me some ideas a really great guy. And before I am deaf or dead I wa t a pair of his G1.2 in black there. It's another reason to not get crazy with these.
I played some tracks from an ultra cd it was just PCM too. He room sounded wonderful with heavy Chines drums. The really big ones using my lampi with 101d real west Mis 90 year old tubes. The sound was amazing. Of course not all music sounds great and tube rolling helps this very much a kind of eq unreal analog domain.
I'll post some pics as is now and thanks in advance for anyone's comments good , bad or what ever please post I can take punches and learn without getting upset. Honesty is a wonderful concept with me.

I don't know if he still does the xovers but you might try getting ahold of Mike Tsecouras at Audio Research too. The Mundorfs are no slouch and several speaker companies use them.

It's not the size of them , it's the size of the sound. Having the rs1B same drivers the sound is very simaler and the staging is also. They truly disappear into the room and surround myself with sound. But the size of the imaging is the diffence . Hearing a ten foot tall Elvis the Elvis you showed me lol. That is what makes the sound both odd and great . I posted here a super audio cd that was PCM the big Chinese drums. For stuff like gets a live event the size is needed to give the size of a event . But when playing simle music it's actually too large

If you really want something to test out those woofer columns, get ahold of The Rhythm of Music on Top Records. It is still available but not sure if you can obtain it from a US music retailer. You might have to go online and order it from Hong Kong or somewhere like that. But highly recommended. I played it for Al and Sunny from Scaena and they went crazy.

Sorry was dylexic. It was Sound of Rhythm. I don't know the SACD but have the ordinary RBCD.
