US is the birthplace and mother of all horns but ironically they all but disappeared from the market and there's still so little understanding and under appreciation for them. I started importing and doing shows with vintage horn systems and high end analog front ends since the late 90's and I was surprised at the lack of knowledge here, everyone's experience was sadly limited to what they found in the pages of AS and Stphle where horns were ignored for years even though JBL was making some of world's best right here. Sadly for us and those magazines had way too much influence during their hay day...

So cool. David, did you not try to rebuild a pair by hiring a good carpenter to build the wood baffles and install refurbished drivers? I think I remember you writing that they did not sound the same, despite a serious effort and prefer the vintage wood and construction. Is that right?System link: https://www.whatsbestforum.com/threa...l-sound.32867/
