That's right, I was running my son's Luxman LV-80v integrated amp into my Direct Acoustics Silent Speakers today, making sure everything was working well before packaging them all up to ship to him, and after a couple hours the right channel started to crackle and then cut out. Let it cool down, changed adapters to try different cables (since I was using the cables I just put together earlier today) and it seemed to work, but an hour or so the right channel cut out again.
I've sunk money into this amp twice in the past while he was in college, each time costing almost $200. Don't really want to have to do that again. Trouble with modern low cost integrated amps is these speakers take a fair amount of power, and don't seem to sound too good with Class D amps.
The Luxman, when it works, is a great sounding amp.
