Got the tape today playing it now. I must say it's very good
has the weight of tape yet has very good highs
one thing I am starting to notice is seating distance
tape I need to back two feet more on piano or it muddies it up a bit. I know it's my room needing something course if I lower it a couple of dB it goes away.
so far love first three tracks. So much to learn here

Are we to comment on the tapes ? CompAre to others ? I don't want to go off topic on this. Each track seems to have the same sound quality and sound too. I'll play it again tonight to hear more.

Al what deck are you using? (I apologize if you've mentioned it before and I didn't notice). Also I am curious to see a photo of your room and IRS-V's if not too much to ask? I have a local friend who owns a set and I have always found them exquisite. He too has had a lot of work Dione on them over the last three years including new custom crossovers, all the EMIM/EMIT drivers refurbished, and some of the bass drivers re-foamed, etc.

He has them in a drop dead gorgeous room with ample space for them to breath and the sound is something else. If you were curious to see his room I could certainly dig up a pic or two and show you.

P.S. And I agree the sound of this Yarlung tape was amongst the best sounding in the Tape Circle IMHO right along with the Opus 3 tape.

deck is an otari mtr 10 completely re done bu soren of Cs electronics
even the paint is new all caps rollers a complete restoration deck.
my room is still under construction for finishing work
it's 20 wide , 9 high and about 55 deep. Speakers sit at 20. Feet off front wall

If there is one thing I did wrong is I should have made the room have a higher ceiling who knew I dug it out to get 9. Two feet more would have been great

The height is good it allows for a higher stage presence.
my room has no treatments not yet and since I moved them further into the room away from front wall it fixed many issues. I'll be posting pics soon. Ty for sharing
