Myles. Is there a zero missing? $1500 phono stage? His tonearm is 30k right?

OK was corrected. The price is $1750.

Touraj’s Reference tonearm retails for $44,800. He does make a less expensive tonearm called the SGI seen on the table to the right over the phonostage. The “stock” version of the Magic Groove turntable (in black) is $12.5 with arm. The SGI arm, depending upon wiring, runs from $3200-5200.

Richard is a great guy and full of energy and enthusiasm for the industry. He was over at my place this past week for some audio fun- we had a blast. He tipped his hat to V2 on AM. I will look forward to that- more parameters more accuracy with less tracks if I've got it straight.

Always like Roksan turntables, but can't say I like the see through acrylic where you can see the bolts and screws.

Pictures don’t do the table justice. Very sleek and elegant looking. See if I can do better on the pictures today with my real camera.

I really like these tables. Seems to be good thought and innovation built in. I got to hear one of the models a few weeks ago and I was suitably impressed.

Ive been a fan of Touraj going back to his Roksan days and the Xerxes turntable (I still have one in storage). He's got serious engineering chops and a ME degree from a top UK institution. I spent ~hour conversing with him at a CES eons ago, he struck me then as the smartest-guy-in-the-room type of designer. rather than rely on unimaginative and arcane thinking--like high mass as an end-all be-all--his solutions to engineering problems were elegant, innovative and they worked.

Mikey thought Touraj's new entry level deck was one of the significant debuts at Munich 2019:

Doug did his usual great job. The Tidal/Vetere system was superb sounding in a large space with minimal use of sound treatment and a room full of people. If I had to give up my Rockports, Tidal would be one of a few speaker brands I would consider owning.
