    Started out the weekend with a little ear tuning at Chicago's renowned Andy's Jazz Club. On hand last night was The East Hubbard Jazz Orchestra playing an assortment of big band arrangements by Ellington, Jobim and others and arrangements by the famed Oliver Nelson. Big band is rare in New York just because most jazz venues are on the small side and can't accommodate a group this size (I think around 18 players!). Some pictures last night of the group and Andy's as well. Andy's has been a mainstay of the Chicago jazz scene since 1958.

          A little taste of yesterday's tunes at the Fine Audio Show at Symphony Hall in Chicago. The opening track from Acoustic Sounds' upcoming Rickie Lee Jones 15 ips tape reissue. Stunning played back on a Studer A807 deck equipped with low inductance FM heads feeding the state-of-the-art Doshi Audio V3.0 tape stage. Additional support provided by a full Doshi Audio V3.0 tube electronics system, Wilson Audio Alexia speakers and Transparent Audio cabling.

          Great turnout yesterday and make sure come on by today from 11 am to 5 pm if you are free and looking to hear some really great audio systems!
