          by 'layering' I assume you mean the nice tidy cable running......and not the musical presentation.

          this was the 'Million Dollar' system at CES in 2002, with Wisdom, Rowland and Synergistic. scroll down on this link.

          even though for a home hifi system it was crazy over-the-top in scale, the sound was lost in the large auditorium it was in. but you had to give them an 'A' for effort. OTOH just because you 'can' do something......does not mean you 'should' do it.
