I'll be there Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the NY Marathon and the area will be a mess so plan accordingly. Many streets and avenues will be shut down for much of the day. In fact, you probably won't be able to get across some avenues during the marathon (or may have to go way south to get east-west or west-east. Yeah I know. Not great planning.Myles B. Definitely a smaller show than ever before. Most of the big names are missing.
Yes, lots of turntables, and also lots of lifestyle systems set up on the side of the rooms to look over while the big system plays.
We all know Friday's sounds aren't always the best of the weekend, but one of the rooms I truly enjoyed was Laufer-Teknik, on floor 8. Check it out. Also nice sounding horns on 8 in the Volti room, just next door. Martin Logan was right across from the Volti room and was worth checking out as well. In fact, that particular corner was where I would hang out. 3 rooms with good sound.
Also loved the sounds coming out of the Linear Tube Audio room, at the end of the hall on floor 7. Nice horns in there.Comment
