i noticed many more rooms with turntables at Newport than there were at Axpona. The one I almost came home with is the Hanns Acoustic T-60SE. Anyone else get a chance to hear and see this table?

I missed it at the show but a friend that's a dealer has been carrying it for number of years, i've heard the reference 'table a number of times. Its fine deck and uses the CMB bearing sourced from clearaudio. the table is made in Taiwan which is off putting to the audio snobs but its top notch build quality and sounds superb, IMHO is very good value for the dollar. -
Think Joe Cohen had it Axpona a while back with the Durand arm and Lyra Olympos cartridge. Sounded darn good with the WAVAC gear.Myles B. Astor, PhD, Administrator

I've known about the T-60 for years. The Lotus Group, Joe Cohen, is the importer. Stereo Unlimited in San Diego carried it at one time. They might still. Excellent table at a bargain retail of about $10k without arm. Dynamic, transparent, musical when coupled with a good arm and cartridge.Turntable: TW Acustic TT with Ref motor & controller; Tri-Planar Arm; Transfiguration Proteus Cartridge (repaired and re-tipped by AnaMightySound), Massif Record Weight, PS Audio Stellar Phono Preamp; KLAudio Ultrasonic Record Cleaner.
