I love proacs, nice rig and sensibly put together. I'm sure it brings a lot of smiles per mile, as car guys say.

Lot of smiles. It does make a darker sound than most are accustomed to but it´s very engaging and unfatigueing!

Thanks for posting your system Per! ProAc has been under represented here. Think there's a new US importer after Richard Gerberg passed away but not a whole lot of publicity. Their little Tablette got a lot of good reviews in the day.

Oh the Tablettes have always been lovely! The newer ProAcs are still very good but they seem to lack that certain something that you get from these. During the 15 years as a reviewer a lot of speakers has come and gone but none has got me thinking about trading in the ProAcs for something else. They are bit loose at the bottom end of the spectrum but I don´t mind that.

Well done. Your room looks like a great place to relax and forget about the day. Proac's are great speakers. Not a lot of press in the US, but great speakers!!

+1 the discontinued Carbon 6 and 8's were most impressive -also ProAc for here!

They sure don´t have great market precense even if we are many who love them. Strange.

Very nice. I used to own ProAc 2.5s and really loved them. Easy to drive and very transparent from the midbass up. I traded up to 3.5s when they came out to get a little more bass.

Do you regret getting rid of your 2.5s?

No regrets. I enjoyed them while I had them but no speaker does everything. Even after the 3.5s I still wanted more bottom end so I traded them for big Thiels.

Aha. Yeah I know what you mean. Started to feel the need for a pair of Harbeth 40.2s ...

So I moved to a smaller town (Karlstad), a new job and a bigger apartment. The system is installed with the addition of a Pioneer PD-95 CD-player (which I rather like).

The PD-95 is not very detailed but makes up for that with musical enthusiasm.
