Vinyl is played on a TW Acustic Raven One Turntable with two tonearms. Stereo pressings are played back using a Dynavector 507 MkII tonearm with Lyra Kleos cartridge into a Balanced Audio Technology VK P10 phono preamplifier. Mono pressings are played back using a Graham Phantom tonearm with an Ortofon Cadenza Mono cartridge into a Dynavector PHA200 head amplifier that feeds the MM section of the McIntosh C2300 preamplifier.

Tape is played on an Otari MTR15 1/4” 2-track Tape Machine with stock heads, and internal electronics, or Technics RS1500 1/4” 2/4-track with stock heads wired for use with internal electronics or a separate 1/4” 2-track headlock with JRF heads, and wired for direct out.

Digital is played back via a Mac mini running the roon music player, connected to a Grace Design M920 DAC or an Lynx Aurora 8 ADC/DAC.

All sources feed the McIntosh C2300 Preamplifier with Gold Lion tubes.

Amplifiers are McIntosh MC601 mono blocks.

Loudspeakers are Legacy Whisper with Wavelet room correction.

You will also see an McIntosh MC2102 tube amplifier. Occasionally I will switch over to tubes, and power the Legacy Whispers, but 95% of the time I use it with my AKG K1000 ear speakers for very early morning listening.

Also use a Headroom Max headphone amplifier for my Sennheiser HD600’s, HD800’s, and HifiMan HE100 headphones.

Some of my vinyl collection, and my growing tape collection.

The Whispers can project if needed, but the designer Bill Dudleston wanted to achieve the illusion of a female whispering in the listeners left ear. There is an entire story about this in the manual if I recall correctly.
