Thank you for the kind comments. The SME 30/12 and each of the amps are on passive Vibraplane air isolation platforms. The one under the turntable does have automatic self leveling. One compressor supplies all three units. The pre amp, phono amp and their power supplies are sitting on Townshend Seismic Sink air isolation platforms. Internal vibrations generated within the turntable are drained through the four legs which rest on hard ball bearings. That energy is then absorbed by the 136 lb steel ballast plate which preloads the 150 lb Vibraplane. The motor vibrations are attenuated by the SME suspension. The whole design is meant to isolate and drain vibrations away from the platter and tonearm while the Vibraplane prevents floor borne vibrations from entering the turntable system. I have two massive lolli columns under the suspended floor at the rack so there is no floor bounce.

I agree that SME is under appreciated here in the US. Apparently, there is a 3-6 month lead time for all of their turntable models, and they run three shifts at the factory, so they are in demand somewhere. This Model 30/12 replaced my former Model 10/A. I did extensive comparisons between the two tables and then the two 9" and 12" arms on the larger table.

Thank you for the kind comments. The system is a real joy and my wife is a saint for allowing me to take over the living room, but she has her limits. I keep my roughly 1000 LPs up on the third floor of our house, next to my Loricraft RCM and fluids. I'll post a photo.

Not visible in the room photos is the compressor which feeds the three Vibraplans. I have to move that back into the basement one of these days.

Here are some of my roughly 1000 LPs up on the third floor in my home office. My cleaning station is next to my computer and desk. Love the Loricraft and AIVS fluids, but it does take a long time. I don't have the room for proper shelving for record storage. I really should spend some time organizing this stuff a little bit better. I grab the LPs that I want to listen to and bring them down to the system for the evening. It is not very convenient, but it is about as close as I will ever get to a dedicated listening room in this house.
