How I play my 5000 odd records.
Pioneer Exclusive P3 and P10 dd tables - P3 the wonderkid sota from1979/80 and still sounds wonderful today. DD tables are intoxicating once you have heard a good one.
TW Akustik AC-3 table with Graham Phantom arm.
Lyra Atlas, Delos, Dynavector XV-1s, Technics EPCP100Mk4, Audio technica AT25, Denon ESC Ruby 103R, DLS1, Ortofon A90, SPU classic, Royal GM and various other mm carts.
Linn LP12 with Naim ARO arm and new el cheapo pickup - Pioneer PLX-1000 tables - sounds better than it has any right to for $600.
Pass XP-25 and TW Acustik/Thoress phono.
I swap between tubes and SS in both pre amp and power amps. cj GAT, Pass XP-20, cj Prem8a's teflon caps and DÁgostino Stereo amp. keeps the audiophile in me in check - everytime I get sick of tubes I swap to ss and visa versa.
Wilson Maxx3 speakers - might girls think they look like ugly scary daleks - I love the mean menacing look myself.
Recently moved into the smaller TV room - 5m wide by 6.9m with short 2.4m height. Sounds better than any hardware upgrade I did in the other crappy sounding room. Just goes to show - Its always the room when things sound bad.
Anyway, new room sounds pretty good I have not bothered to move the Wilsons off the wheels ...................yet. The wood floors scare me, always had carpet up to now.
