  • Why do I get upset by texts like this?

I should be happy when a non audio magazine writes about audio.
    But I´m not.
I get irritated because of oversimplyfications in what is maybe the wrong places.
And in the author stating something as the truth.
I´m not proud of this streak in my personality ...

Anyway ... how do you feel after reading texts like this?
Get three components right and you can get a great result even if all the other bits that make up the turntable are only average.

It doesn't really bother me as the article wasn't written for seasoned users.

Yes, an oversimplification of what produces great analog sound but if you compare this article to what you get from the WSJ over the years regarding high end audio it isn't bad.

It's better than nothing. At least it highlights audio products for everyday folks.

I remember sending an email to a guy (Dan Lindich - http://www.soundadviceblog.com/ ) who writes a weekly audio/video column in my newspaper when he advised all audio cables sound the same. Made me feel better. He even answered.

Maybe, but a newbie who buys a Debut Carbon based on this article (without knowing any better) will be getting a very good entry level table, regardless of whether the reasons behind it or correct or not. At least it didn't suggest buying a used BSR something,
